Takshashila's Rules and Regulations
The school’s approach towards discipline is for every student to acquire self discipline and be responsible conduct so as to contribute to the overall well-being of all in the school. Every child has the right to expect a conducive teaching and learning environment. Likewise, every student has the responsibility to contribute to that environment.
Enrollment at Takshashila implied willingness to comply with the rules and regulations of the school.
Rules and Regulations
- The school authorities will not be responsible for the students before and after the school hours.
- Parents/guardians cannot take the students from the school premises without prior permission from the School-principal or the school authority. This rule is important for the discipline and the security of the students.
- The School-principal or the school authority reserves the right to suspend/dismiss students at any time if his/her conduct is found harmful to other students.
- Continuous absence for ten days without proper information to the school is considered as a dropout. Hence, the parents/guardians need to re-enroll the student(s) by paying an admission surcharge stipulated by the school.
- Parents/Guardians are not allowed to interview any teacher or see the child/children during the class hours except in some urgent cases with the prior permission from the School-principal.
- In case of any emergency or at the time of pick-up, the third unknown person coming to take the child must produce their valid identity card. Failure to this may have to bear with some formalities.
- The school uniform must be worn compulsorily by the Class ONE and above students. Therefore, sufficient number of dresses must be stitched or bought for the children as per the sample provided by the school.
- Jewelry or any kind of fancy ornaments are strictly not permitted for any students for whatsoever reason.
- Refinement of manners, honesty, self possession and neatness must be the characteristics of every child.
- All correspondence must be addressed to the school-principal directly.
- Parents/Guardians are highly expected to co-operate with the school by enforcing regularity and by helping the children do their assignments.
- Students who remain absent during assessments (examinations) for whatsoever reason will not be re-assessed. Marks obtained in the terminal and the final examinations and, also the whole year class-performance will determine the promotion to the next grade.
- Prior permission must be taken in written if a child’s presence is required for any urgent or important family function. No leave will be granted for any social function except in the child’s own home.
- A written leave letter signed by the parents/guardians is a most for any kind of leave for more than a day.
- On any strike day or ‘Bandha’, parents/guardians should call the school no 023- 543211 from 8:30 a.m. to 9: 00 a.m. to confirm. It is not possible for the school to call all the parents.
