Welcome to Takshashila

Takshashila Progressive English School, a co-educational English medium school, has a fifteen year long heritage of academic excellence and is committed to unfolding the true potential of every child. The school works towards helping students grow into responsible and caring individuals who have the right attitude for fulfilling a balanced life. Established in 2007, Takshashila is located at the heart of Birtamode City, Jhapa, and it carries on the legacy of Sunshine Kinder House, from the same area. The school runs classes from Grade 1-8 and in the days to come will expand to Secondary and Higher Secondary.

Every year we have achieved a new milestone in the holistic development as well as in our integrated curriculum area. We are in no competition with any counter parts; we more or less compete with ourselves, so each year we are able to leave footprints for later generations to pursue.

Activity based experiential learning is facilitated across all classes. Every learner participates and contributes to the smart class curriculum. We do not believe in one strategy for all but follow different strategies for children with different learning abilities. One strategy that we have found work for our students and help yield better result is the completion of the course- syllabus well in time and continued self evaluation- both oral and written and performance enhancement plans that help us create toppers.

Our greatest achievements are our students who become perfect individuals by means of morals, ethics, and values, and understand our rich culture and tradition when they come out of school.

We plan to continue building on our strengths and be the school of choice for parents from across the country looking to expose their children to an educational experience that’s uniquely Nepali but incorporating international best practices.
